Cap’n Crunch French Toast and Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast Sliders

Cap’n Crunch French Toast

I am a big fan of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.  And when I say big fan, I mean when we travel I look up where Guy Fieri has visited in the area.  I have one of Guy’s cookbooks and even my 2 year old daughter is a fan.  After our favorite burger place in St. Paul opened after a fire, we were using their new bathroom and my daughter while using the potty, pointed to the wall behind me and said, “Guy!”  I turned around to find the Triple D poster with Guy Fieri and his signature staring right back at me!

Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast Sliders

When Twin Cities Live asked me to make a meal in less than 5 minutes, I thought it would be fun to make a version of the Cap’n Crunch French Toast I saw on one of the Triple D episodes. In addition to the french toast I wanted to show people how to make super easy egg sandwiches in the microwave.  As I sat in my kitchen a couple Saturdays ago timing myself for this segment, I really did question my sanity for doing 2 foods in a 5 minute segment.  Both are really easy recipes and yes, you can make both in under 5 minutes (watch the video link below to see how I made it and with time to spare!) with under 5 ingredients.  Brilliant idea according to this busy momJ

Halloween Party Ideas

Stella the Bagel Halloween is such a fun food holiday-it’s all about figuring out how you make a meal, snack or dessert look creepy and disgusting.  Besides all of the crazy food, I love Halloween costumes.  My daughter spent her first Halloween, only a month old, dressed as an ear of corn.  Last year, I liked the vegetable … Continue reading
