Wild Rice Bread

My favorite sandwich shops serve Wild Rice bread. Maybe its a Minnesota thing but, it’s so delicious! I asked my bread-baking friends and they didn’t have any recipes for this type of bread so I did some research and came up with this one. I made this recipe in my Cuisinart Breadmaker.

Ingredients:
3/4 cup water (70° to 80°)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon molasses
1 teaspoon salt
1 2/3 cups bread flour
1/2 cup uncooked wild rice (I used Gourmet House MN Quick Cooking Wild Rice-available at Target)
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon poppy seeds
1 teaspoon active dry yeast

Directions:
Put ingredients in machine, in order listed. I used the 1.5 lb loaf, white bread, light crust modes on my bread machine.
