What I ate: Breakfast

  • Caramel Roll
  • Biscuits and Gravy
  • Huevos Rancheros

You must try: The Biscuits and Gravy.  Will and I are always trying biscuits and gravy at breakfast places and this takes the cake-or I guess the biscuit.  At most breakfast places you are served potatoes and toast as sides, here they serve salad and fruit. Something both Will and I said was a delicious alternative. Before we got our meals, I saw the salads going out and thought people were ordering lunch at 9am:)  Needless to say we loved it.  I also really love when you can have a little dessert for breakfast, we ordered a caramel roll but there were also cupcakes and cookies!

Good to know: It is table service on the weekend so if you want to stay and enjoy your breakfast you need to check with the host or jot your name down on the notepad by the door.  If you’re like us and have kids that get you up by 6am everyday, including the weekends, you are golden because we we got there around 8:30 we didn’t have problems getting a table.  On our way back from the Farmer’s Market around 10:30, people were lined up outside waiting for a table.  Metered parking is outside and as I mentioned, we went to the Farmer’s Market after breakfast which made for a great morning outting.  It is family friendly, in that kids were welcomed and there were highchairs but there were no kids menus. Lastly, don’t be like me and resist taking home a cupcake.  I’ve been kicking myself all day for not getting one to go!
