Rudolph the Reindeer Cookies

Here’s a cookie I made up for Twin Cities Live’s 12 Days of Cookies in 2012.  This is a super easy cookie recipe and it is a great one to have the kids help you!  Click on the video below to see the recipe and see Wes and Stella helping us prepare them!
Ingredients:

1 box Moist Supreme Dark Chocolate Cake Mix

½ cup Land O’Lakes Salted Butter (1 stick)

2 Eggs

2 TB Water

48 Hot Tamale or Red Mike and Ike Candies

96 Candy Eyes

3 cups White Chocolate or Yogurt Covered Pretzels (broken into pieces)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375.

In a mixer, combine cake mix and butter.  Once mixed, add eggs one at a time and then add water.  On a greased cookie sheet, drop cookies with small cookie scooper and bake 8 minutes.

As soon as cookies come out of the oven, press pretzels into top of “head” for antlers.  Then press in eyes and red candy for nose.  If children are helping assemble “Rudolph” remove cookies from cookie sheet first and assemble on wax paper.

Makes 4 dozen.
