This year Bisquick has a Quick Creations category and the 1st place prize is $200. Last year I received second place in the Bisquick Family Favorites contest for my Pizza Waffles.
Here’s the recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cups Bisquick
1 ½ cups Whole Milk
2 TB Olive oil
1 Egg
1 tsp Garlic Salt
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
1/3 cup Fresh Parmesan Cheese (shaved)
1 ¼ cup Pizza Sauce
Pepperoni Minis (5 ounce package)
Fresh Mozzarella Pearls (8 ounce package)
Directions:
Preheat waffle iron.
In a medium-sized bowl, combine Bisquick, milk, olive oil, egg, garlic salt, Italian seasoning and parmesan. Mix until combined and pour waffle mix into waffle maker that has been sprayed with nonstick spray. Cook each waffle until golden brown.
Once waffles have been cooked, spread half of waffles with heated pizza sauce and top with pepperoni minis. Top with remaining waffles and then cut each pizza sandwich into four pieces. Top with fresh mozzarella pearls and heat in microwave or toaster oven to melt cheese.

Before we had kids, our 1st stop was always the Pork Chop on a stick – but now it’s the Dairy Barn for an ice cream cone. Hey, I’m not complaining ;).
I just LOL’ed reading the other comments AFTER I posted mine. I just assumed all 1st stops were food related! Honestly, most of our stops are food related or geared around locations of prospective food stops :). We go for the food.
We spend the entire day at the state fair and leave the house well before breakfast. So, our first stop is always the Salem Church Resturant for breakfast. Not sure why we started there, but it’s a tradition!
We always start at the education building to get as many freebies as possible!
Depending on the group we are with, our first stop is usually a pronto pup for my dad, or some sort of protein the rest of us like. We love the spicy pork chop on a stick. Then its off to the sweets. Good luck this year! Your recipe looks awesome.
The Corn on the Cob that way we hit it again on the way out too!

Our first stop is usually the show dog building! And then hunt for food! 🙂

We’ve had a set routine each year since I was little and now that I have my own family, we still go in that routine/path. We always start out at the animal brand and grab a breakfast chocolate shake from the dairy barn 🙂
looks good.
my first stop at the fair is the Dairy Building.
We vary every year where we go for the fair. If it’s just me and the hubby we go find beer 😉 If we have the kids we try to find some of the cool exhibit halls to go through … the pet building, the eco building, and so on. Then we wander our way around the food we want to try.
